By Lightning Media, 10/01/19, 5:30PM PDT

The Lightning '06 14U team went 4-1 at the Fall Championships winning the 14U title. Saturday was a split going 1-1 and sent the team to a chilly 8am Sunday game. Despite the early start the Lighting came ready to play. After a first pitch bean ball, Kasey Ogan settled in to hold the Illusion to one run. Supported by strong defense and timely hitting lead by Lillian Geddis, Kawon Kim and Kara Gebb each with extra base hits. Gianna Talarino took to the pitchers circle for the next two games and showed why she has become the Ace of the Lightning staff. After a comfortable game 2 win the Championship game was a pitchers battle. The Avalanche put a single run on the board in the first inning and the scored remained 0-1 until the bottom of the 3rd. Kylee Resides and Briana Hamel reached base to set the table. With two outs Kasey Ogan drove a double to the gap in right center plating Briana and Kylee. That was all the support "G" would need as she froze the Avalanche for the final 2 innings. Kasey went to work again in the bottom of the 4th driving in Kara Gebb for the final run of the game. The Lighting avenged the Saturday loss to the Avalanche and took home the Fall 14U B Championship Trophy!
